This is sad, but not unexpected.FUMBLL have received a (fairly reasonably phrased) cease-or-desist letter from Games Workshop. FUMBBL has beenthe long-running online java bloodbowl client thingy, and been the premier way to play Blood Bowl for years. In fact, even now after the release of Cyanide&8217;s game, if you don&8217;t care about any of the bells and whistles &8211; I actually think they do add something to the experience &8211; it does a better job of simulating the game (Including all the teams, showing the maths better, etc). Of course, thatFUMBBL is such a good league system, it does beg the question why Cyanide didn&8217;t just copy it wholesale, y&8217;know? Its timing is particularly bad for RPS forumites,as their league is just coming to the close. The question that&8217;s on everyone&8217;s lips is &8220;why now?&8221;. As in, they&8217;ve been ignoring it until now. What pushed them to make the move?

11/13/2009 at 18:57According to some of the comments on that FUMBBL post GW&8217;s copyright for Blood Bowl is coming up for renewal, which would force GW to show that they protect their claim in order to get said renewal.

I&8217;m no expert on copyright law and didn&8217;t find any other source of the information, but if it is true it would definitely be sad for all the fans of FUMBBL but ultimately also understandable from GW&8217;s point of view (and possible mean some kind of deal can be worked out?).

Sucks for you guys in the middle of a league though.

Anyway, as people have said, the letter is very politely worded, I only hope some sort of accommodation can be reached.

11/13/2009 at 19:21This wouldn&8217;t irritate me as much if Cyanide paid ANY serious attention to the league system in their game. It sucks. A lot.

I like Cyanide&8217;s game, rs gold I think the graphics are solid, the gameplay is what I want it to be (turn based all the way)&8230;but trying to actually play leagues is horrific. There&8217;s VERY little customization allowed, and the matchup system blows since it has no customization. No power on the part of the comissioner of the league to setup matches at all. It&8217;s very rudimentary and disappointing for a game that&8217;s BASED on league play.

11/13/2009 at 19:29GW has been giving those thing all over the web, talkbloodbowl also had to change its name or die, another website for Dark Heresy (the 40k RPG) also had to close because it used some picture that belong to GW. What is really strange about the whole story is that GW is killing the community, why the heck they don&8217;t release a fan site kit or something similar or put some board on their website is beyond comprehension. Ivory tower anyone?

11/13/2009 at 19:32One thing you Cynaide leaguers have run into is people who stop showing up to play their games. With Fumbbl we were easily able to replace dear Sparvy who could no longer play with a new team that was ready to go with very little fuss at all :) And we all share power through several people so if one person up and goes poof the league won&8217;t be stuck in limbo forever. (not that I would ever do that!)

I think one of the best things I did when I first started the leauge was giving power to every other member at the time to do the same things I could do, it has turned out to be very useful as they can add new teams requesting to join and fix things that I can&8217;t when I&8217;m not around. Being a selfish crazy overlord of a league who passes judgement without asking everyone else first is a sure way to have an empty league if you ask me ^_^

11/13/2009 at 19:45Its also really convenient that in FUMBBL you don&8217;t necessarily have to wait for the round of matches to end before playing your next opponent. This makes it a lot easier for players that have less open schedules to get a couple matches out of the way when they do have time. Also having the ability to have a league without a specific tournament is a very easy way to keep in track of when your friends are available to play. There seem to be countless areas that cyanide could improve their game by taking from FUMBBL.

I dont think GW are that bad with their IPs- not as bad as some,Dashboard. anyway.This is the guidance they give. It seems comprehensive and not unreasonable, and theres a fair amount of permissiveness.

Given the text of the letter I have hopes FUMBBL can continue to exist in some form, after accommodations are made. If GW really objected to it theyd have shut it down years ago; I think they quietly appreciate its role in keeping BB alive.

As in, new board game/rules, better league support and content patches for Cyanide&8217;s effort. Like how MS killed that Halo RTS project when they decided they were going to make their own.

11/13/2009 at 20:51I doubt it&8217;s anything to do with Cyanide, particularly since it&8217;s not just Fumbbl, there seem to have been a wave of C&D&8217;s sent out over the last few weeks. It&8217;s strange timing.

Perhaps they like to do their lawyering towards the start of a cycle. Or maybe LRB6 will signal a big board game rerelease or something. Hell, maybe they just felt like it.

We&8217;ll see what happens, anyway. Fingers crossed!

With trademarks, yes, if you don&8217;t defend them, you can no longer pursue infringement of them in court. This is why Xerox still insists it makes Xerox-brand copying machines, and Kleenex makes Kleenex tissues, while everyone else uses xerox as a verb and kleenex as a noun. They&8217;d probably have problems if they tried enforcing their trademarks.

However, copyright law is different. This is why you can have Microsoft and the FSF both using copyright law to achieve very different things: Microsoft to lock their copywritten code down, and the FSF to make sure theirs is shared.

Looking through the comments, it&8217;s worrying how blurred the concepts of trademarks and copyright are in peoples minds, although I suppose it doesn&8217;t help that this cease and desist deals with both.

Amongst the genuine complaints about copyright violations there&8217;s a lot of ugly legal bullying, particularly over trademarks, which fans aren&8217;t going to contest even if they have a good case due to the financial cost of doing so.

There are a few companies that used to viciously pursue fan-projects, like Lucasarts, but in the past few years theyve seemingly encouraged (or at least left alone) all Star Wars fan-games/mods, and theyve been a thriving scene.

I remember the days when Lucasarts got pissy if people modded their own official Star Wars games, to add more Star Wars to them. Go figure.

Nintendo seem to be completely hands-off retarding fangames as well. In fact, buying runescape money there was just a recent Nintendo Fan-Game mini-convention with awards handed out to the best Mario, Metroid and Zelda games.

And yet Nintendo havent lost their copyright/trademark on Mario, have they? Stomping on fans doesnt seem to really have any positive effect, as far as I can see. Sure, its their legal right, but just because they CAN doesnt mean they should.

11/13/2009 at 23:30Games Workshop is famous for this sort of thing. The only thing I find surprising is that FUMBBL survived as long as it did. (Well, that and the relative niceness of the C&D.) I mean, as disclaimery as FUMBBL is about how you MUST OWN A COPY OF THE GAME etc, there&8217;s no actual way to enforce that. So their project in essence constitutes a way to play a Games Workshop game entirely for free. With some advantages over the tabletop, even. I&8217;d have thought GW would be all over it a long time ago. I really do have to assume the relatively new existence of an official computer version must have -something- to do with it.

Galak Starscraper / Tom Anders has done the legwork for the last few versions of the Living Rulebook, FUMBBL teams have shown up in the LRB documents, and it&8217;s been a mutually beneficial arrangement.

Fuck you, Games Workshop. Blood Bowl would be dead if it wasn&8217;t for FUMBBL and the likes of Tom, and you&8217;d have had a third of the sales for your precious PC port.

By waiting until now all those people that got hooked on FUMBLL will have to pay for the game,wow priest w. unlike if they had closed it down before the release. They&8217;ve pretty much used it as a demo or a free trial if you like.

They are partially basing this on copyright law buy warcraft gold , in addition to trademark law. This is full of fail because you cannot own a copyright on a set of rules and statistics. Here is what they say is infringed:

the Website contains copies of Blood Bowl statistics and rules;

tje Java Bowl programme contains various pieces of GW Blood Bowl art including the Blood Bowl pitch and Blood Bowl logo; and

the Java Bowl programme uses all the Blood Bowl rules and statistics for each model. (sic)

Only the second item is a problem, and it is clearly a trademark problem. If they simply remove the art and all references to &8220;Blood Bowl&8221; from the site then they are fine. Someone needs to re-write the wording of the instructions though because a particular explanation of instructions can have a copyright.

OTOH, it would costs a lot of money to actually defend this in court. A judge will not simply throw this out or something. So the consumer loses as per usual in IP law. Hooray!

However, there&8217;s a trickier argument available to GW, should they ever need one: the visual (but not the geometrical) layout of a game board is also subject to UK IP law. So any unlicensed game client would have to look substantially different than it does now.

11/14/2009 at 10:10It&8217;s been a bad year for fan made virtual representations of our favorite GW games, Vassal 40K was issued with a similar letter earlier in the year (and the site has subsequently been closed). Of course, GW can&8217;t actually stop people using Vassal 40K unless they&8217;re going to start going round to peoples houses and watch them, as the game is merely a module for the (rather) popular board game simulator Vassal.

Not sure about pumping energy, rsgold but I found this build surprisingly effective. I like how SoA takes care of pet pathing (plus cripple helps them stay with target) rift valley, and provide feeder condition for an immediate spear of fury, which then sets off your adren skills… another potentially useful thing is this makes your pet grab aggro very easily, and they can then tank with their built-in damage reduction and call of protection. This elite seems underrated for PvE spearmasters, particularly those that dont like to lock every single target.

Another way to take this might be Slayers spear spam Facial Scars, high damage and deep wound every 4 seconds buy rs money , with scav strike powering it. In theory you have raw power close to enraged lunge Animal Mask, except its easier to control your own spear than a pet, and you have that awesome pet teleportation going on….

Yeah Hamstorm / Strike – As – One is probably the best use of pet skills I have seen to date, mainly because it gets around the pets main weakness (traveling to the destination). Combine a few SaO / Hamstormers with an MoPer and you have a nasty spike in the works.

Lichborne: Death knight tips for End Time

Inpatch 4.3, the very first new dungeon youll set foot in isEnd Time. Despite being set in the future, its the first dungeon the storyline takes you to, and even the Dungeon Finder wont let you go to the other two dungeons until you have the achievement for clearing out End Time. The loot youll grab from here will be ilevel 378, which means itll be mostly sidegrades for those who have been keeping up on their valor points and/or raiding Firelands. Its still a great chance to fill out your off-sets or gear up a newer or more casual death knight, for sure.

With that in mind, today were taking a quick look at the fights and loot of the End Time dungeon. This guide will focus primarily on the role of the DPS or tank death knight in the dungeon. Keep a lookout for a more complete guide for all roles, classes Asynd Bindin, and fights coming to the site soon.

The first two bosses you face will be chosen at random from a selection of four echoes of famous faction leaders. Each of them occupies one of four dragonshrines and comes with their own unique trash and abilities. They share a loot pool and in addition have a couple of unique drops each.

Themistress of undeath shows up in the Ruby Dragonshrine. Her trash is pretty straightforward — just large chunks of undead dudes that should be relatively simple to pull and AoE down.

Sylvanas herself isnt too hard to fight, and most of her gimmicks are a matter of staying out of the dark, undead fire. She does put out an couplehigh-damage shots youll want to watch for. Use your cooldowns to help mitigate that damage. Also, watch out for the purple stuff when it spawns on the ground and stay out of it.

Her biggest move is going to be when she summons a ring of ghouls that slowly walk inward toward her. When they reach her, they explode. You cant just run out of the ring, though, because you will take massive damage. Instead, youll need to kill one of the ghouls and run out through the small gap it makes in the ring. As a tank, it will probably be your responsibility to choose a ghoul to take down, so be sure to mark it and/or warn the others ahead of time to focus on your ghoul target.

Jaina shows up in the Azure Dragonshrine. Her trash looks very similar to Wraths Halls of Reflection trash, with ghostly footmen, priests, hunters, and sorceresses. Tanks, be ready to wrangle in the hunters and sorceresses, especially, and dont let the footmen get at your healers and casters, because they will bash and silence them. DPS, watch out for the lightwells the priests summon, and get them killed ASAP.

Jaina herself isnt too hard of a fight. Unfortunately, herPyroblast andFrostbolt Volley cannot be interrupted. Pyroblast puts up a pretty nasty DoT on its target, so you may want to keep your defensive cooldowns ready for that. Of course, Pyroblast comes pretty frequently, so youll spend large amounts of time with that DoT ticking away on you.

Her biggest move is a set of threeFrost Blades that radiate out from her front and freeze anyone they touch. Shell always cast these after aBlink, so you wont be stuck in melee range when they come. Just find out wheres blinked to and be ready to dodge the spikes. They move slow enough it shouldnt be a huge problem. In addition, she will also spawnbombs. If they are not prematurely exploded (by running over them), they will explode for massive damage to the entire group. Optimally, your ranged DPS will take care of these, but if your PUG mage is being extra slow that run, its worth it even for a melee DPS to step back and run over and grab it. Your healer will thank you.

The tauren ChieftainBaine shows up in the Obsidian Dragonshrine. His trash is possibly the most annoying in the dungeon, buying rs gold with aBreak Armor ability that devastates your defenses and the ability to summon fire pools that can wipe out your group pretty quickly.

The good new is that you can skip the trash if youre good. If you wait for the patrols to pass, there is a small window of time that you can run straight up the middle to the first island in the lava surrounding Baine. Of course Juke box heroes Foreigner keep on rockin, in a PUG, thats asking a lot, and theres always a chance someone will aggro something anyway, so you may want to clear it out after all.

Baine himself isnt a horribly hard fight for a tank. Your main quest is to keep him out of the lava, as it will buff him with a massivefire damage buff. Keep yourself out of the lava as well, as lava will give you a stacking debuff that causes you to take increasing damage from said lava. That said, there is one upside to standing in the lava: It will give you the samefire damage buff as it gives Baine. Therefore, physical DPS (such as death knights) should periodically step in the lava to renew that buff, and tanks (such as death knights) should tank Baine near the edge of the lava so the melee DPS can easily buff themselves.

Baine will occasionally jump to a player and sink the island theyre on. He will, of course, automatically get that fire damage buff when that happens, so make sure he gets back to dry land and possibly have a defensive cooldown ready to weather the extra fire damage if needed.

Baines specific loot has two pieces that are pretty good for us.Axe of the Tauren Chieftains is something youll want to pick up if you never made it into Firelands. The hit and expertise may be just what you need to hit your soft caps.Bloodhoof Legguards provide a nice alternative for tanking if you havent purchased your tier 12 legs yet.

Tyrande shows up in the Emerald Dragonshrine. Her challenge actually starts with the trash. The whole shrine will be dark, with the mobs rushing at you in total darkness. Tyrande will spawn patches of moonlight, though, so your basic strategy here is to gather the mobs and drag them into the moonlight so you can see stuff to fight it. Its best to stay bunched together as a group and, if youre the tank, be ready to grab random aggro off your healer especially.

When you fight Tyrande herself, theres not much you can do besides tank or DPS besides interruptingStardust. Stardust should definitely be interrupted. She will cast it more than once every 10 seconds, though, so if possible free disney, set up an interrupt rotation with other interrupt-capable group members.

As mentioned, the echoes do share a loot pool, and there are a few drops that death knights will like.Dragonshrine Sceptre offers a great option for dual-wielding frost knights; just reforge away the critical strike rating.Breastplate of Sorrow offers a DPS chest option, with critical strike and haste rating meaning its nicely statted for the new unholy death knight. TheGauntlets of Temporal Indifference offers a nice tank set option. Finally Halloween events guide, theGirdle of Lost Heroes offers a nice tanking belt upgrade for pre-Firelands tanks. You can also get theTime Strand Gauntlets from the questArchival Purposes, which will serve you well if you never managed to get your tier 12 DPS gauntlets or need some extra expertise.

Youll fight the final boss,Muruzond, at the Bronze Dragonshrine. The big issue with the trash is that the first pull will have two caster mobs. Youll probably want to use a Death Grip/Strangulate one-two punch to get them wrangled up so you can burn them down. If you leave them be to target your DPS and healers at range, they will hurt.

With Muruzond himself, stay away from thebombs he spawns. Not only do they explode for mucho damage rift beastma, but they create a patch of fire on the ground. DPS will want to stay away from the head and tail of the dragon, as both willdo damage to you. Tanks will want to keep the head and tail pointed away from the DPS and healers.

Muruzonds big gimmick, however, is the hourglass. Every time someone hits the hourglass, the fight will rewind to a few seconds from the beginning, with one big difference: Muruzond will not heal. That means any cooldowns will be reset, any dead people will be resurrected, and all patches of fire on the ground will disappear. You should use your DPS and tanking cooldowns early and often, because they are coming back. EvenArmy of the Deads cooldown will reset world of warcraft gold cheap , though not every group will take kindly to your playing spin the dragon, so think twice before you use it.

Generally, you should assign the healer or one of the ranged DPS to hit the hourglass. They can hit it up to five times. You can use the hourglass hits as soon as everyones spent all their cooldowns and the buffs have faded, or you can save the hits for when there are a few dead group members or too many fire patches to handle — its your choice. Regardless, this should be a pretty easy fight to conquer. As soon as the dragons down, youll be free to move on to Well of Eternity.

Muruzonds loot includes a few pieces of interest to death knights.Temporal Pauldrons andCrown of Epochs are great grabs for any DPS death knight whos been having horrible tier token luck.Breastplate of Tarnished Bronze andChrono Boots are your tank drops.

Thank you for the very detailed explanation about dk on the new 5 man dungeons. I will do these since i cant go into firelands on my dk yet :/ i need to get his item level up a lil bit but dpsing trolls are a pain in the butt when your healers decide to be a dush and not heal you cause Omg youre a dk, im not going to heal you -.-

The healers and dps who go DKs cant tank may not be able to spell it either, but they certainly qualify ….

Two things:

Jainas frostbolt volley is interruptable. After she blinks and does the ice blade spell, she will chain cast fbv a couple times, but if you interrupt her, shell go back to her regular rotation.

If the pats are aggrod by accident while skipping Baines trash – if you dont attack them, they dont seem to cross the lava to attack anyone who is already on the platforms. They just go after whoever is still between the portal and lava and will reset after. So if the people who didnt make it run to the edge of the lava to die, the healer should be able to rez them no problem.

Pro-tip: During the Baine fight, dont try to help out your tank (or yourself if youre tanking) by casting chains of ice on him after he smashes a platform. Its happened a couple times when Ive been in there with other DKs and it just allows Baine to get more stacks of the lava debuff (and thus more bonus damage). You could pull it off by standing at the far edge of your platform and casting it as soon as he gets out of the lava, but it hasnt made much of a difference to me.

One thing that also wasnt mentioned that I think is very helpful is that the cats die LOADS faster in the Moonlight (referring to Trash before Tyrande). I believe the light causes damage to them while theyre in it, because I dont see myself doing more damage via any buff on me or debuff on them. I just know that we would keep a trash pack out of sunlight and experiment and it would take a good five to ten minutes to kill them, but once we put them in the light it was maybe a minute or two to kill, tops. The difference is very noticeable, and I would highly recommend people pull them to moonlight quickly and have them then die as soon as possible, because the trash tends to rake down tanks pretty hard on the PTR.

Nice, that gear doesnt look too shabby. My Death Knight will be doing these certainly, especially to get those maces since I couldnt snag two of the one and only strength one handed axes from Firelands that happens to be trash drops … I still have Soul Blades :

I also only have one of the obsidium cleavers from FL. Now to go find a 1h mace for transmog… lol That one is cool looking, but it doesnt go with my outfit. ;)

all the mobs in the tyrande gauntlet have a incoming damage reduced by 90% (i believe) buff when they are not in the moonlight

More transmogrification gear from the Black Temple

Heading back to pick up some awesome armor sets from vanilla WoW or that dazzling weapon thatll have your enemies cowering in fear?Transmogrification makes it possible — and well show you how!

The Black Temple is a massive, massive raid zone featuring nine bosses, more than any other raid zone in The Burning Crusade. If youre headed into the Temple to farm up gear, be aware that every boss in this zone must be killed in order to get to Illidan. High Warlord Najentus opens a gate to the outer courtyard from the sewers upon his death. Supremus opens the way from the Illidari Training Grounds into the Temple proper. All four bosses in the lower level of the Temple must be killed to continue into the Den of Mortal Delights.

Luckily, you dont have to run all the way to the top once Supremus is dead. As part of the Black Temple attunement chain, players had to speak to Seer Olum, located in Serpentshrine Cavern, for a quest to go speak with Akama in Shadowmoon Valley. In order to prevent Illidan from discovering Akamas plans, Olum sacrifices his life. His spirit can be found just inside the sewer entrance, and once Supremus is dead, Olum will teleport players to the lower level of Illidans Citadel.

When we left off last week, we had just finished killing the Shade of Akama, an action that made all Broken in the Temple proper friendly to players. From Akamas room, take a right and head up the stairs to fight the way to the next boss. Its a long trip with a lot of trash consisting of fel orc packs, but these packs are easily killed. Make your way to the top and into the den of the next boss, Teron Gorefiend.

TheGorefiend fight was one of the more technical fights in Black Temple, so much so that there weresimulators made to learn the fight. Every so often, Gorefiend will target a player tomark for death. This will kill the player after 55 seconds and reanimate them as a ghost along with several other spirits that will immediately make a beeline for the raid. As a ghost, players have a new bar of abilities that allow them to CC the spirits and kill them before they reach the main raid. This was not an easy task, and Gorefiends choice of player to kill was always a random one, so all players had to be familiar with the mechanics of killing ghosts in order for the fight to succeed.

Luckily, Gorefiend is now a pushover. With a few capable players, you should be able to kill him before he even gets a chance to cast Shadow of Death on anyone.

Tier drops While Gorefiend is a formidable fight, he doesnt drop any tier to speak of.

Other items of interest Cloth -wearing classes may like theCowl of Benevolence, a recolored version of priest tier 6, or the purple and blackRobe of the Shadow Council. As for leather-wearing classes, theBotanists Gloves of Growth are a glove option in black with gold and green accents. Rogues, theInsidious Bands are a decent enough match for your tier 6 set. Hunters, buy cheap wow gold theSoftstep Boots of Tracking are a good match for your tier 6. Plate-wearing classes may like the look of theGirdle of Lordaerons Fallen — its also a pretty close match to paladin tier 6. Plate-wearers may also like theGauntlets of Enforcement in black and bronze with gold accents.

Gorefiend also has a selection of weapons on his loot table. TheRifle of the Stoic Guardian is a mean-looking gun with three barrels, two spikes and a scope to top it all off, along with some elegant scrollwork. TheTwisted Blades of Zarak are a unique green throwing weapon with a soft blue glow. Finally, Gorefiend also dropsSoul Cleaver, a massive two-handed axe with a faint fiery glow.

Once youre done looting Gorefiend, take the long trek downstairs and head to your right, up and over the center pedestal in the main downstairs section. Once on the other side of the chambers, clear a path to your right,Georgia Tech ruins Clemsons unbeaten run. go through the small corridor, and turn left to make your way to Gurtogg Bloodboil, the next boss.

Gurtogg was another one of those fairly tricky bosses, largely due to hisBloodboil mechanic, which he would cast on the five raid members that were furthest away from him. Combine that with the massive amount of damage the tanks were taking, and the fight was brutal to heal. A team of players at level 85 should have absolutely no problems beating the snot out of Gurtogg well before he gets more than one, possibly two Bloodboils off — and well before he picks a target to focus on forFel Rage.

Tier drops Gurtogg is also completely lacking in the tier department, but he does have a nice selection of other loot!

Other items of interest Cloth-wearing classes that like the look of warlock tier 6 may like the recoloredBlood-Cursed Shoulderpads. And cloth-wearers who like the look of priest tier 6 might want to pick up theGarmets of Temperance, more recolored priest gear. For druids, theBelt of Primal Majesty is a good match to your tier 6 set. Mail-wearing classes should check out theVest of Mounting Assault, an eye-catching chestpiece in rust, gold and bronze. Warriors, pick up theGirdle of Stability for a match to your tier 6 set, and all plate classes may want to take a look at theLeggings of Divine Retribution in black and blue. And theGirdle of Mighty Resolve is another belt that looks good with paladin tier 6 as well.

Gurtoggs got a few weapons as well. TheMessenger of Fate is a one-handed dagger in bronze and gold with some pretty scrollwork on the blade. TheWand of Prismatic Focus is a gorgeous little gold wand with bright blue gems. And theStaff of Immaculate Recovery is … well, its a priest on a stick. Or close enough anyway — this white staff is topped with the figure of a priests cowl, complete with golden wings. Definitely one of the more unique-looking staves in the game!

When youre finished picking over Gurtoggs loot, head up the ramp behind him and to your right. Youll see an alcove with ghosts and spirits flying around — this is the path to the Reliquary of Souls, the last boss in the lower level. The spirits here respawn very, very quickly, so make sure you keep moving as you kill them — and be wary, the Reliquary has a very large aggro range. Once you step down the ramp to the Reliquarys lair gold for runescape , you will start the encounter. Be sure you havent got any spirits aggroed before you start.

This Druids Vestis easily the most bizarre boss in Black Temple. The Reliquary of Souls, orReliquary of the Lost, consists of three different bosses — theEssence of Suffering,gw Dust Trap. theEssence of Desire, and theEssence of Anger. Killing each essence will trigger the interim between phases, in which a mass of spirits will appear and beeline for your group. Killing the spirits will give you back health and mana. Each Essence is a DPS race with a different twist.

Essence of Suffering Suffering will immediately cast anaura that reduces all healing to 0. Since you cannot heal during this phase, everyone should DPS. Suffering willFixate on the closest target to it, dealing damage to that target only. Swapping out who is closest to Suffering will keep it from killing the player. It shouldnt take long to burn through this phase at all.

Essence of Desire Desire is pretty much the hardest phase of this fight. Desire will put up anaura that increases healing done to players but reduces mana over time. That aura also causes you damage when you damage Desire — be careful and dont kill yourself! Desire will also castSpirit Shock, an attack that does a chunk of damage and confuses the player it is cast on, andDeaden, which will increase the damage taken by the player by 100%. Having an interrupter along will make this phase much easier; just interrupt everything, and youll soon be done with the phase.

Essence of Anger Anger is the final DPS race, casting anaura on players that deals increasing damage over time but also boosts DPS. Anger isnt really difficult to defeat; you simply have to DPS it down in a hurry. Once Anger is defeated, you can safely collect your loot and wonder why exactly Illidan has this thing locked in the basement.

Tier drops Though admittedly bizarre, the Reliquary of Souls has no tier loot.

Other items of interest Cloth-wearing classes can pick up theGloves of Unfailing Faith for more priest tier 6 recolored gear. Leather-wearing classes may like the look of theGrips of Damnation, a recolored version of rogue tier 6. Druids should check out theElunite Empowered Bracers andNaturewardens Treads for matches to your tier 6 set. Mail-wearing classes who like the look of shaman tier 6 should take a look atThe Wavemenders Mantle, and the skull-emblazonedBoneweave Girdle,The Rosary: A weapon of Mass instruction. too.

Plate-wearing classes looking for a paladin tier 6 look-alike helm should grab theCrown of Empowered Fate, and warriors will want to pick up theDreadboots of the Legion to match their tier 6 set. For weapons, theNaaru-Blessed Life Rod is a cool-looking crystalline wand in pink and green with a bright glow, and theTouch of Inspiration is an off-hand item that is essentially a giant pink crystal. Lastly, theTorch of the Damned is a two-handed mace with spinning spines and a purple crystal with a wicked glow.

Once these bosses are defeated, the last door in the lower area will open, leading into the Den of Mortal Delights. Inside awaits dozens upon dozens of concubines and slaves that would love nothing more than to cater to your every whim — unless, of course, youd like to murder their employer for loot, in which case theyre going to try and kill you. Job security is such a touchy subject these days …

The Black Temple is a massive, massive raid zone featuring nine bosses, more than any other raid zone in The Burning Crusade.

Except for, you know, karazhan. Forgettable place I know, since everyone spent so little time in there.

Kara didnt really count. Yeah, it was big in the way of mobs and bosses, but it was really just a tower. When you enter Supremuss courtyard, or the main room with branches to Gorefiend, Shade of Akama and Gurtogg, you really get the sense that this is a big-ass place. Kara? The largest area was maybe the stairwell where you climbed after beating the Curator. The biggest area for a boss fight? Probably the chess event.

Ironic considering Kara is Annes favorite raid zone:

The size of the raid zone wasnt what was in question, it was the number of bosses. Kara counts as a raid just as much as BT.

To note, on p2 of the Reliquary of Souls,Tire Business. you either need someone who can offensively dispel. Desire will put a shield up on themselves that makes them immune to interrupts and reduces cast time by 100%. This means that if you have fewer than say- five people, youll be pretty much chain CCd.

Tier 6 is bossin

I feel as if it really captures the essence of each class in its own unique way, moreso than others, especially for classes like the mage and shaman

Until now, each tier of content brought us more diverse fashions of gear, but not always with the same strategy.

As an example if you look through the BC gear youll notice as there are diverse gear models ranging from character level 61 to 70 Uncanny X-Men, allowing for more diversity but also leading to it basically. If you check the models for WOTLK gear youll notice that gear tends to use the same models from 71 to 80, leading to a more uniform look of charactersoverall appearance.

Blizzards strategy about gear models seems to maximize uniformity during the level up process to reduce the clown effect on players at the beginning of new expansions, while going easy on fancyness when coming to the wave of purplez at the level cap, but still with an eye on uniformity when it comes to specific tiers (think of how items of the same level basically match the fashion and colors of the tier set for that same level).

This was true until now. Transmogrification will potentially reduce the necessity for badass appearance on new gear, which might as well never be actually shown if players end up not liking it. If you check some of the ilvl 378 gear from Dragon Soul instances they do not look very special looking.
